My first MX-500 has firmware version 05.003 built 02-02-21, and the second one I just bought is version 3.06.004 built 02-11-28. What are the differences?

The last revision to the MX-500 was in February, 2002. This was to correct problems experienced with the thumbpad when the "Gemstone" models came out in January. The version number and date are for internal reference, and mean nothing as far as changes to the remote as concerned. Mike www.surfremotecontrol.com
