Hi,

I have the mx 500 - haven't started programming it yet but I had a question - can you program another remote with a macro and then learn one of the buttons next to the lcd as this macro - without having to hold for 1 second. (I want to have TIVO shortcuts - like tivo button + #1 which shows the now playing list) - but I don't want to hold the mx500 button for a second - (don't ask why - i know a second isn't that long -but it has to do with wife and kids :)!

Thanks

No, you can't learn a macro from another remote. Your best bet would be to create a "dummy" device with the Tivo commands on buttons that could be used in FAV macros. That way a FAV button could give you the "instant" macro you're looking for.
