How is the mx-500 for use with a TIVO? The Sony T-60 specifically. Do you have to get creative with button use?

There isn't a Sony Dtivo code in the MX-500, but you can use the Sony sat code for the satellite functions of your T60, then teach it the tivo functions.

You can easily duplicate the commands, properly labeled, from your T-60 remote by the method mentioned above, or by learning all the comands to the individual buttons to place them exactly where you want them to be.

The 'skip chapter' buttons are my skip 30 seconds forward and 7 sec back buttons. Other than that everything is labled correctly. I added a couple functions to the LCD labled keys that weren't mapped but it's a snap to learn it from your remote. It takes all of three seconds out of your life.

Does the MX 500 have a code for the stand alone Series 2 Tivo unit?

Yes - look on the last page of your manual, with the header AUX - Light, Switch, Tivo, etc., but you'd likely be more satisfied creating your own text labels and learning the codes quickly from your Tivo remote. David www.BlueDo.com

Thanks for your answer, I am sure I am missing something obvious, but the manufacturer listing does not list Tivo. I am not sure who the manufacturer is? I thought it was Tivo. Am I making this more difficult than it needs to be?

Actually I just went through the same thing. I tried the Philips code from the same page and it got me most of the functions in the right place. Then I "learned in" the rest.
