Just got my new MX-700 from bluedo.com and programming and setup went very smoothly. For those of you looking for codes I thought I'd pass along some findings based on what worked for my equipment.
1-Sony HD-200 I used the IR database for the HD-100 and it worked. I just needed to "learn" codes for signal strength, wide mode, freeze, and format(you can now go from 720p to 1080i without having to flip open that stupid door :-) The DB also contains discrete on/off codes. 2-Hitachi 42HDT20 plasma. The generic Hitachi "TV-all codes" worked great and contained almost everything inclding discrete power on/off--probably a first for a Hitachi product based on what I've read here. It allowed me to directly address vid1-vid5 and antenna. The only problem is in selecting RGB inputs you must toggle between RGB1(analog), RGB2(DVI), and Antenna. This is the same as the Hitachi remote but it makes for a sloppy macro when you want to switch back to satellite from DVD for example. Too bad you can't select these inputs directly like vid1-vid5. 3. Sony DVPNS715P DVD player-- Again the DB(using the DVP-NS700P) had almost all the codes including discrete on/off power. 4. Panasonic LX-1000 Laser disc. OK, here I had to learn almost everything but it went pretty quick.
One other hint is that it took 3 days to get it after I ordered. But you can download the software and programming guide from the website, so I was able to do about 80% of the setup work before it arrived today.
The only(minor) drawback of the unit is that you have to be careful to "point" it carefully during macros or they won't work. My "serious" theatre has a Phast RF panel/ cardframe which spoiled me. But the mx-700 gives it a real run for the money(not too hard since the Phast costs abot 10 times as much). Its also nice to have more hard buttons and total control over the interface.
