How can URC keep selling the MX-1000 if it fails to update the software so that it runs on current-day computers (i.e., Win2000, Win XP). I would not have bought one had I know beforehand that the software simply crashes on a Win2000 machine.

But yet some people....... Say HTM has great support. Supporting one product while forgetting about the others is NOT great support!
