Is there such a thing as a discrete On / Off code for X-10?

Well, kind of. There are two types of X10 codes:

"Generic":
ON, OFF, DIM UP, DIM DOWN, (and then unit numbers:) 1, 2, 3, etc.

"Specific":
1 ON, 1 OFF, 2 ON, 2 OFF, etc.

On most OFA remotes the ch+ is ON and the ch- is OFF. I've never heard of X10 power toggle. If your talking about a command with an address and On command together, I think you need a pronto for that.

No, just get a JP1 cable and you can utilize the Pronto files with many inexpensive One For All remotes!
