Now I am not bitchin, I am sure it's me. I have a Com 1 port, plugged it in, made some edits in MX Editor and tried to download and I get...

"Error detected while communicating with your Remote Control.
Please make sure that the cable from the PC is connect to the Remote Control.
Selections -- Abort Retry Cancel"

I've searched the HTM site and here and no luck. Suggestions?

Are you sure the cable is plugged into the remote until it clicks? I had trouble the first time I connected my 700 because I assumed the cable plugged into it until I felt resistance. However, I found out that the plug went in further and clicked. No problems after that.

Also, make sure that nothing else is using the COM1 port. If you have anything else that might be, switch to COM2 and try it. Palm Desktop is the worst offender.
