just purchased mx-500 & have tried pre programmed codes on 3 different tvs. power on/off works, but volume does not work at all. Have also tried learning volume on 1 of the tvs. Although it indicated "Good", volume still didn't work. Is it possible that I have a bad remote? Any suggestions?

I'd bet that punchthrough it in use, turn it off and see what happens! David www.BlueDo.com

It probably worked in the first, if wasn't for the punch thru, so in your attempt to fix it you might have done something. So just relearn the VOL+ and Mute.
