Hi all,
I've been quite happy with my MX-1000 for over 6 months now, yet all of a sudden the LCD screen has gone dim. I first noticed it a few weeks ago and of course replaced the batteries - yet it had no effect.
Has anyone else had/seen this problem before? And if so, is there a cure or am I left with no choice but to purchase another?

When you change the batteries, I have noticed that the contrast level will revert to a lower level. Have you tried to adjust the contrast? I forget the proceedure, but it's in the manual.

I tried that (press Main and Chan Up) and it increased the contrast ever so slightly.. but its still nothing like what it was when I originally bought it. I mean, I can barely make out stuff on the screen - in direct light! ugh..
Any other suggestions?

Thanks
~Chris

If you've pressed Main + Channel Up and held it there until the contrast does not improve anymore, than you will need to send it in.

Email Mike Gifford at [email protected] and he will give you an RMA number to send it in. You won't have to buy another one since it is still under warranty.

Greg!
I talked to Mike and already got an RMA# so I'm ready to send it off (and save a couple a hundred bucks in the process ;)- hopefully I can get it back before x-mas! :)

Thanks a ton!

No problem!

And I'll bet you'll get it back long before Christmas.
