Just received my MX-500 and think I'm going to love it. It looks and feels great, and seems rather straight forward as to programming. However, I see the possiblity of a few problems. First, only one of the codes works for my Panasonic TV; everything seems to work OK except no volume control. Haven't tried yet, but I assume I'll be able to learn from my TV remote. However, I want to give one of these to my daughter who has Toshiba devices, but no longer has her original TV remote. so she'll be in trouble if the preprogrammed TV codes don't work in their entirety. She has Toshiba TV 34HF81/81C; Toshiba SAT receiver DST3000; Toshiba DVD SD9200. Can anyone tell me if the preprogrammed codes are going to work OK for these devices. Thanks for some help.

Chances are that the preprogrammed codes will work. Anything that doesn't work just go down to a retailer that sells Toshiba and asking nicely if you can use one of their remotes to quickly learn from.

Remember, ask nicely.
