My one year old Mx-500 wont erase several learned buttons and wont learn a new code to these buttons even though it says "good" when learning. Tried taking out batteries for a few minutes but no help.Other ideas?

Believe it or not, sometimes it takes removing the batteries overnight.

Are they new batteries?

Did you do the AUX 155 procedure before learning codes? If so, the pre-programmed codes are 'under' the learned codes, and when you erase the learned code, it starts sending the pre-pro code that was lying in wait :)
