Okay, I am one of those strange guys who bought a good remote before I had good equipment. I have a MX-500, and just last weekend bought a new receiver with AV switching. Prior to this I ran my sound through a bookshelf system, and had ugly macros to switch my Phillips TV inputs.
So, now I am setting up my Receiver page on my MX-500. What layout to users typically use for their LCD buttons?
Currently I am adding a button for each device, to switch inputs, but that still leaves me five buttons. Of course I could put those buttons anywhere if I wanted to.
What have others done?
Any tips would be appreciated. Thank you!

Michael,
I use the LCD buttons on my receiver device for everything, as the hard buttons don't mean much for audio receivers! So things like BASS/\, BASS\/, (arrows up and down), D-DIG (dolby digital), etc.
