We have a Mitsubishi 65" WS65819, Directv, Kenwood KRX-1000 receiver, DD8020 Progressivescan DVD, Denon Dolby Digital, VCR, etc. I'm wanting to know a couple things about the MX-500 (my wife is more interested in the 500 than the 1000).

Does the MX-500 allow you to hold down the volume buttons and have it continuously change volume or do you have to keep hitting the volume buttons over and over so it will change?

Is the MX-500 compatible with a Directv DSS? Our Directv has 4 slots for channel numbers even though all channels are less than 1000. If i punch in a directv channel number such as 240, will i have to hit enter to get it to take the channel, or will it automatically jump to that channel after a specific amount of time?

Is it compatible with that Kenwood receiver?

Hope those questions make sense. I'm hoping this remote will be compatible will all our equipment, tired of messing with so many different universals. I like the recommendation of buying it at circuit city, trying it out and then returning it for a cheaping price if I like it. Problem is, our local CC doesn't carry these! Do you know of any other stores, online or brick/morter, that will let me return an item?

Thanks

Brian and Heather

The volumn will change continuously by holding the button down.

Channel number question: That is a function of the DSS receiver, not the remote. It should work the same as it does now.

Do a search on Kenwood for the last question.
