I am considering purchasing an MX-500. I've read the info here at remotecentral.com and on the HTM website. However, I still have a few questions...

1) Can unused pages (either for a device or in FAV) be "hidden" so that I don't have to page through them to get back to the beginning?
2) Can an LCD button in MAIN be programmed so that pressing it jumps you to page 1 of FAV?

Thanks,
Ken

Hi Ken,

Unfortunately, the answer to both your questions is No.

Ken, what I do when I only need a single page for a device is I basically duplicate page 1 on page 2, so that it doesn't matter which page I'm looking at. It's a bit more work but it gets rid of the aesthetic problem of having a blank page two.

Raises another question to a prospective buyer... I expected that repeated presses of the PAGE button cyle cycled through the pages of only the currently selected device (or favorites) - yes?? (i.e., if you're in the TV device, then repeatedly pressing PAGE toggles between the two LCD pages for your TV). Or does repeatedly pressing PAGE cycle among all 26 LCD screens?? Or, better, is the paging behavior customizable?

Again a prospective buyer question... Can't you jump to page 1 of FAV by simply pressing FAV? (unless you're already in the FAV pages)

Pressing the PAGE buttons toggles between the pages of the device you're in. There is no customization of the paging behaviour.

When you press FAV, it goes to Page 1 of the FAVs. If you're already in FAV, pressing FAV cycles through the FAV pages.

Also, once in the FAV menu, FAV will cycle forward thru the 5 pages and PAGE will cycle backwards.
