I frequently have a problem with the remote not being found, or get partway through a download to get an error message. I haven't found a sure fire way to fix it: I take out the batteries, unplug the remote, unplug the cable from the computer, and sometimes exit the program and open it again. Occasionally, I have to reboot the whole computer.

Anybody know whats going on?

The error I get in the middle of download is:

Invalid Answer: LimitedProgramLoadToRC [something something something] (Sorry, lost the error message when I was trying to copy it.)

The error I get sometimes at the start of a download is: "Error Detected: MF:PUDM7", after which I just hit Continue and the download goes fine. Much less common is it can't find the remote, and hitting Retry again goes on fine. I'm using a USB-Serial adapter cord, so I've been attributing it to that, though none of my other devices complain.

When I get an error message, it won't detect the remote anyomre. I can't find anything that fixes the problem reliably. Its getting really frustrating.

Mine gets the PUDM7 error once in a while but exiting MX Editor and going back in seems to fix it. (I'm running 98SE on an HP laptop.)

I called HTM, and they said the problem could be I was using a laptop, and had other programs running. (I was on the net.) I'll exit the other programs, and post my results when I get the chance.

I tell ya, when this thing runs, it ROCKS! My wife isn't even PO'd at me for buying it!

Ocassionally I'll get an error mesage and then I'll unplug the cable at the remote and plug it in again.
Works everytime to solve the problem.

What I do everytime (read it in the manual I believe) and it works everytime:

Do the simple quick download first. Then the bigger complete download. It always works.

When I do the complete download, it sometimes errors out and I have to start again.

Haven't had a single download attempt fail yet. I'm using the cable shipped with my MX-700 from bluedo.com. It seems to work just great. I agree, this thing rocks. I've finally been able to put away all my other remotes.
