I thought I remember reading somewhere that you can have different sets of favorite channels for different devices. Is this correct? Maybe I'm dreaming that I read this, or maybe using the unused device pages for channel favorites as a work around. Thoughts? Craig

The FAVs are independent of the device setting. they can be used with any device, but they don't change with the device. You don't get 5 pages with each device, just 5 pages total.

Many people will use the unused device pages for FAVS.
If you do, you can even name the device with the appropriate label
DSSCH for DSS Channels TV-CH for TV Channels MUSIC for Digital Music channels
Etc.
Just a thought.

Actually I plan to use the first Fav page for common commands that I also have on the MAIN device, such as DSP and TV mode commands one would use from other devices, so I can readily pop back to the original device by hitting MAIN. Until they put that same return functionality in the MAIN device, of course :-).

What i do when there's different devices is I make the top two faves 'throwaway' info buttons... ie, HDTV FAVES, CATV FAVES, and SATV FAVES
The faves line up under those... at least on the 700, I'll be able to actually switch the device instead of confusing the customer and telling them "ok... here's the sat faves... the cable faves, and the 7 HDTV channels you paid and extra $1000 for....."

We can do it my way, or we can do it my way while I yell. The choice is yours. |

More like $500 unless you paid full list price.
Which, unless you've seen HDNet on a properly calibrated HDTV, is impossible to explain why it's worth the $500.
