My reciever is about 11 years old, and I have been using my Marantz remote for years, and learned some of the Onkyo codes to it. Now I have the 700, and have room for all the codes, I found the original remote is broken! (It flashes both lights, and seems to be stuck in learning mode.)

I am bummed, since I planned on upgrading my reciever soon, and wanted to sell this one.

Does anyone have the MX-700 files for this unit? I have power on (not a discrete code), and input selection and volume, but not much else. I need things like center mode, surround balance, etc. You can't get to them on the units faceplate.

Does your Marantz remote still work?

Otherwise, Greg has offered to convert a CCF to an MXD for you! Email the CCF to him at [email protected]

Yep. Find a CCF file in the Pront files section, and send it to me.

I'll convert it, as long as you promise to label it properly and then upload it to this site.

Well I happen to have a Onkyo 70pro that I still use on one of my older home theater setups. I really dont know how to make the CCF files but I do have a urc 9800 remote, a jp1 cable, and the software (never had the time to mess with it yet) Let me know if I could help.

Rare,

Easier for Greg to do his thing than for you do load all the codes into the JP1 setup (which would then need to go through the MX-700 conversion anyway)

Thanks for the offers. It might take me a couple of days, but I'll take you up on it.
