Has anyone ever experienced this remote displaying "reset" when you press a button. It usually occurs when I first turn on my system. The buttons that display reset will not usually work. After a while it starts working.

Time to replace your batteries ...

I was having the same problem, saw this response and would like to say "thank you". The manual never addressed the flashing of "reset" on the remote's screen or the failure mode the SL-9000 would go into when the batteries should be replaced.

Regards,
rick

Thanks for your responses. I did try the batteries just after I posted the above message and before the response from Stephen Tu. That of course was the problem. I was thrown by this remedy because the manual stated the memory would remain months after the batteries go dead. Which I'm sure it does. The reset display had nothing to do with what was stored in the remote. I only had the remote for two months so I didn't think it could be the batteries. On the bright side I got a shiny new remote because my dealer was not sure of the problem either. Thanks agin to Stephen Tu. I figured it out before you responded but if I continued to be in the dense, you would have cleared it up. Thanks!!

Only 2 months? Yikes. Mine (2nd rev) lasts 6 months with moderately heavy usage. Has battery consumption gone up with the newer revisions? Guess they never really got it working to spec since it's supposed to flash "LO BATT" or something like that in the LCD according to the manual. Mine always starts behaving erratically before that and I've never seen the "LO BATT" message.
