When I first got my MX-500 I renamed the "AUX" device as nothing (all blanks) because I didnt have a device for that space. Now I programmed the MX-500 to control my air conditioner, but I cant rename it "A/C" for some reason. Every time I try to edit the name, all it lets me do is rename the commands on page one or page two, but never the device itself. Any hints?

Are you following the directions closely as contained in the manual. Remember you have to include pushing the PAGE button when doing the sequence for labelling devices, otherwise when pushing the device button, it takes you into the device itself.

Remember, when editing a device button, you have to push "PAGE" before you push the device button you want to edit. It sounds like you're pushing the blank device button first, which will take you to the first page of the device.

There is about a 90% chance that I was not reading the directions closely ... I bet I pushed the blank device button BEFORE pressing the page button ... time after time until I was blue in the face, even though I truely thought I was reading the instructions carefully. It never ceases to amaze me ... just when I think I know what I am doing, I turn into an idiot! Thanks for the help guys. ;-)
