Are you getting any response at all from the 501?

If you're getting the first number to register but not the others (ie: if the channel number is 301, the 3 comes up but nothing else), this is often due to the numbers firing off too fast for the device to respond. The answer is to add some delay between the numbers in the macro (by pushing the PAUSE button). This is also necessary if you have successive numbers that are the same (ie: 335).

If you're getting no response at all, and the buttons work fine when entered manually, make sure you're identifying the Sat receiver as the device you're getting the channel numbers from when you program your FAV.

That looks correct. You didn't say it but I assume that you're also pushing the CNN button at the end of string (after the FAV button).

In my original post I asked if you're getting any of the channel numbers (ie: 2 or 0 or 0) to appear when your execute the FAV. You should at least get the first number to register, but you may need to insert pauses for the others.

Yes, but Mike is asking you to put a pause between each number. Perhaps even put a short pause before the first digit.

Also, does entering 2 - 0 - 0, ENT work properly when used manually. I just want to make sure that your ENT button has the proper IR code on it.

Try relearning your ENT button before you try inserting the pauses. I've seen this happen before. Then I relearned the ENT button, and everything was fine.

... Greg :-)
