I have a new MX-500 and need to program discrete codes for my Sony TV's Input (TV/Video on 35" XBR?). I also have a RS 15-1994, a Home Theater Master SL-9000, and a Palm III. Do the remotes that I own have the cability to get this discrete code into my MX-500?

Thanks!

Greg

Sony on 113, Sony off 109
They have to be put in a remote that accepts advanced codes like the All-in-one 7+, then send it to the MX-500.

If your Sony works with your 15-1994 set on code 0000, you can try the advanced codes for input changes listed here, then learn them to your MX-500.

If not, you would have to go the JP1 route, which is explained in detail here.

Good luck!

I have a SOny XBR, and I'm curious what you need the discrete codes for. ALl functions seem to work OK with the standard prepro or learning functions.
