I know the MX700 doesn't have an internal CLONE function but how do I get all the creative work I've done w/my MX500 to the MX700.

I want to start off with it and then improve on it.

Jim,

Have you downloaded and played with the MX-700 software? You could get the entire setup done before the remote even arrives!

I suspect that with the software the MX-700 has, you really wouldn't want to start with your MX-500 setup. They're much different in setup!

I have his and hers DirecTV/Tivo's with different remote codes and I want the MX700 to Learn these commands as well as the buttons.

Can an MX700 Learn an MX500 device?

Jim,

I'm not certain, but obviously it can learn each button seperately from your MX-500.

You cannot clone between an MX-700 and an MX-500.

You'll have to set up your config and learn the IR codes.

Huh, Greg, isn't that what I asked or am I missing something?

Again...Can an MX700 Learn an MX500 device (not clone)?

Again..... you'll have to learn the IR codes from the MX-500 - ONE AT A TIME, just like any other remote.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you are asking if the MX-700 can learn the entire device at once. If that is what your are asking, then the answer is no.
