I've never had the 500, so I'm new to all this. Any words of advice? Is there a place I can download the codes for my two Phillips Tivos? (I use remote code #'s 1 & 2.)

I've already downloaded the software. I'm excited!

PS: Thanks for the great deal, Dave!

The Tivo code that's in there is equilavent to #1, but if you look at it in MXEditor, it's incomplete. Specifically, it doesn't have the the channel guide button, which is a mystery to me. That's one of the first things I'm going to remedy by sending the codes in to HTM. For now, you'll just have to learn everything from your Tivo remotes.

OK, I'm playing with the software, and have a question. Can we have hidden devices? I use two TiVos in the same room, one on remote code #1, and one on #2. Something might conceivably happen, one day, that makes my TiVo only want to respond to remote code #0. Can I put a TiVo0 in the remote, but in a place my wife can't get to?

You can hide a device, but then it is inaccessible on the remote.

You hide pages by clicking on them and choosing hide.

You hide devices by hiding all of the pages, and then deleting the name of the device.

The only way to "unhide" the device for use is in the software, and then downloading the new config to your MX-700.
