For those who use the One For All Cinema 7 as a companion remote to the MX-500, its days in its current form are numbered. OFA is releasing replacements for both the Cinema 7 and the Home Producer 8. See my post on the One For All forum (complete with really bad pictures) here. Mike Surf Remote Control

I don't know if this will even apply as a replacement to the 7800 as the JP1 connection is unknown yet... For now, there are plenty of 7800's available. Randy www.BlueDo.com

Randy Hopefully, they didn't get rid of the JP1 capability. While there are still 7800s available, OFA's not making them anymore and the new remote, for better or worse, is it's replacement. This message was edited by MikeSRC on 05/03/02 11:36.26.

MCM (mcmelectronics.com) is still selling the Cinema 7+ #urc-7801, 1-5 for $24.95, 6-up for $19.95. Maybe one of you rich fokes could stockup for the all the newbies 'round the corner!

Paul, It won't be necessary. Word is the new model (due to be released probably in July) will be JP1-enabled. Randy www.BlueDo.com

As an update, the new 8811s have arrived and they do have the JP1 connector built in. Nice job by UEI to upgrade their most popular model without sacrificing the thing that has contributed to that popularity with Remote Central members.
