Hi folks,

I have a bunch of MX-980 remotes that have served me well for many years. They do everything I need so I have no plans to replace them. Unfortunately my Denon AVR receiver of about 15 years finally crapped out, probably because of a bad capacitor or two. I was resisting upgrading it, although its inability to accept HDMI inputs was making things more difficult. Then Amazon announced that it would no longer support the only Roku device that I could connect to my tv, so I had to replace the tv and the Denon receiver. Of course, the replacements are not in the version of the URC Pre-Programmed IR Database that I have in my software. I realize it is possible to have the MX-980s learn each and every code but it sure would be a convenience to have them already prelabeled and programmed. If anyone has access to a pre-programmed code database that includes gear released in 2018, I would be very grateful if you could help me out with a copy of the database. Thanks in advance for your consideration.

Andrew

Solved this myself. Apparently my version of CCP was too old to access the update feature, so I was able to pick up a newer version that has the current library of pre-programmed codes.

I have an old MX-900 which I feel the same way about.
I was able to program multiple buttons for a new ROKU streaming device, however, I cannot get one particular, crucial button (SELECT) programmed to my liking. I am hoping a new database would contain the right codes. My remote comes with it's own editor software --> MX900 Editor Software.

QUESTIONS:
1) Is CCP compatible with the MX900?
2) can you advise where you picked up the updated editor software?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can program the mx-900 with CCP, but you would have to start from scratch. Can't help with how to get the software.

But if you do have the stand alone mx-900 editor software, you might be able to get the select command from your roku remote even if its Wifi. What is the name & model of roku and its remote model number?

See, recent roku wifi remotes will switch to IR for the roku commands when the roku its paired with is unplugged from the power. Now use it to teach the select to the mx-900, and whatever other roku button you need? This way you don't have to buy a thing.
