Hi, wonder if anybody can help. I just went to use my "old" automator 200 and nothing responded. I see the little "sound-wave like" icon coming on when a button is pushed, but no signal appears to be going out, and I don't see a red light through the lens.
I took the batteries out for a minute and then replaced them with new ones, still dead.
I first tried to see if it would learn a power key for the tv, it accepted it, but wouldn't power up the tv.
I then erased the entire unit, although instead of saying on the screen erase, it said initialize, but then said LCD good, System good.
Still dead.
Also, when I tried to learn the power key for my receiver, it failed to take.
I also noticed that when I switched from the main screen to the setup screen, the LCD was fading at times.
It just konked out, was working fine this AM.
Do you think it's time for a new remote?
If the consensus is that it's time for a new one, can you give me some recs. I need an RF remote and am running 4 devices. Would like to get one with "function" buttons , like watch tv, listen to music, etc-so my wife might finally be able to use the system.
Thanks for any help.
