MX700 is old I know, but got a new Home Theater and cannot use the programming cable because:

New computer. No serial port. Only have a 15 pin D sub that went to the monitor.

Can I use this 15 pin port if I get a sub 15 pin D sub from Radio Shack and which pins do I use from the 1/8" stereo plug?

The tip, the middle and the base of the 1/8" plug go to which pins on a 15 pin D sub.

Thank you
