Hello

It has been a while since I toyed with my MX 700.

1. As I recall, cable that comes with the remote needed another type of cable/adapter to connect to my computer. Does anyone know what it might be? Does the software work with Windows Vista?

2. Anyone know how to manually program without the computer? Change displays etc?

Thank you

1. Software works with Vista. You need a serial port and the cable. If you've lost the cable see [Link: surfremotecontrol.com].

If you don't have a serial port get a USB-Serial Adapter, some people say they've had luck with the RadioShack one, URC recommends Belkin and Keyspan.

2. The only things you can do without a computer are learn codes to buttons and reprogram Favorites. Press and hold MAIN + ENT until the setup menu appears.
