I recently received a new D11 Directv receiver to upgrade my old one. I have a URC R50 that worked great with my previous receiver.
I used code 173 to add the new receiver. When I use the keypad, the 1 and 2 buttons repeat themselves. The other number keys seem OK, but I cannot tune to any channel with a 1 or 2 in it. And I cannot program Favorite channels into the remote using 1's or 2's in the number.
Any ideas on why this is happening? Is my URC R50 defective? Am I back to using 2 remotes again (the remote that came with the D11 works fine)? I know of no way to 'learn' keypad numbers with the R50.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Alan

You can "learn" into the R50. In the quick start guide that comes with the remote, go to step 4 & 5.

Thank you for the response. I am aware of the 'learn' feature of the remote, but it appears to me that this is for 'commands' that would show in the device menu. My issue is not with any command - it is with the keypad.
