I recently bought a JVC dla-sx21u projector that requires that you press and hold the power button for a couple seconds to turn it on and off. I have both a mx-500 and mx-3000 remote, and I primarly use the mx-500. Is this function cable to be programmed into these remotes? If so, how?

I already tried to simply learn the code, and of course that didnt work. Thanks!

UPDATE:

After a night of fiddling, I figured out that I can use the pre-recorded IR stuff from the MX-3000 to turn it on/off. Initially it didnt work because it selected the wrong on/off code, but as I looked, I saw there were alternate ones "p-on" and "p-off". I still am not sure on the MX-500.

Use your mx3000 to teach the mx-500.
