I'm looking for the entire set of IR codes for a Sony Bravia XBR 46" LCD, especially the discrete codes. Need for an MX-850. Anyone have them available to e-mail?

Thanks.

Your e-mail is not shown in your profile.
That makes it difficult.

Anybody?

I really just need the discrete codes for video, wide mode, and the power on/off.

I could use the same thing for the MX-950 if anyone has them. Especially if you have codes to select a specific video input. This set takes a long time to switch...
Thanks,

RBeddow,

Nobody chimed in with any help, so I just tried the standard Sony discrete codes and they all worked fine. I used the Pronto software and files found in the file section. I'll e-mail you the .mxa file. It has on, off, and all the video inputs.

Chris

After re-reading your first post, I thought what the heck?

All of the KDL models use the same codeset and they are in the MX editor's IR data base.(278 or 279)
I figured that you had already tried them and they didn't work so I didn't have any other suggestions.
They have worked on all of the XBR's I've installed.

"278 or 279"? Is that the version of URC's software? That's cool that they're keeping up with Sony's products, I've need to set up an Input-9 code for an XBR2. But then do you have any idea why my MX-850 software reports that it's only 1.12.273 and when I try to update it, it just says "this program was already updated"? (And [Link: universalremote.com] says that 273 is the newest version?) I'm confused. Any help appreciated, thanks.

278 and 279 are the code set numbers for sony not a version number of the software.

When you are selecting the device the codes have a number the above numbers are the code numbers for the devices you should use

Oh, okay, thanks Glackowitz. Wow, was that ever a newbie question. Sorry about that.

I got stuck trying to import the Sony TV Video 9 code (the one on [Link: remotecentral.com]) into the MX-850 editor using irpanels.exe. But then I found a thread ([Link: remotecentral.com]) talking about ProntoEdit4, and tried that. Seems to work! I'll have to test it a little more to be sure, but I definitely happier than I was. :-)

Thanks again.

I haven't check the discrete codes recently on the xbrs but the last time I isntalled one I only had discretes for up to input 7 so I just made macros as follows: input 7, Input, Input. I might have put a .2 second delay between the steps, I don't remember, but either way it worked perfectly fine as a workaround. I would imagine its just a short matter of time until the discretes are out in the field (if they aren't already).
