I called Philips to get service because the AC adapter for my i-paperweight apparently is defective. NOT MUCH USE IF YOU CAN'T CHARGE IT UP! Philips didn't call back for several days, so I called again. Apparently the first time they took down the wrong telephone number.

This time I got to talk to a live person. After I explained the problem, she put me on hold several times and eventually told me that she could take an order for a new power adapter, but that she could not tell me when I would get it because none are available. I told her "that's not a very good answer." This time, instead of putting me on hold, she just put her hand over her mouth. I got to hear her and her collegue literally giggling about my problem.

Nice customer service for an $1,800 remote. I guess I'll see if Tweeter has another one (I'm still sitting here like a schmuck, on hold, forty minutes later).

Feel lucky at least you havn't had to go through all the crap that comes out of a charged igarbage remote. Hell their customer service is a lot better then their remote. Maybe we can find a lawyer who has an igarbage remote who will start a class action suit to get our money back. Though I'm sure with the release of fw 34.5.9. and iedit release 68.4.6 in the year 2009 some of the problems will be gone.

That's funny, just today I started thinking class action suit myself. If anyone can initiate such a process, I'm in. This product is nearly unuseable in it's current iteration. It either needs to be fixed IMMEDIATELY or recalled. Any other company or any other product performing (or NOT performing) similarly would be recalled with a working update or full refund by now.

I love their customer support... after you hold for an hour, you get someone in the Carribean that you can barely understand who is of zero assistance. Truly amazing!

Thats about right, everytime I contacted tech support I recieved the same generic reply asking me to be sure I am using version 2.0 which in most cases wasnt even related to the question I was asking.

Will some one tell me how to program the pronto tsu3000? Or do you start by doing the learning commands first.

Please Help Me.

Thanks guys for doing the Alpha Testing, I cant wait for the price to drop and the bugs to be removed, your hard work and $$ will not go unappreciated by us poor people who dont have $1600 waste on a remote.
Come on people I thought everything had a limit, who in there right mind would pay $1600 to change channels on there TV !! Oh yeh it does so much more, like frustrate you to death ;)

Do you have contact information for Phillips? I was hoping to ask them a technical question about their RF protocols.

There's a standard PCMCIA removable 802.11b card in the iPronto. I hear they may offer a 802.11g card a bit later.

Alright folks, what SHOULD I buy?? My Pronto's screen is too small, and a Crestron is to many $$. I saw the iPronto and thought PERFECT - obviously I was mistaken.

What is there between a Pronto and a Crestron that is worth a dam??
