I've recently bought a second hand TSI6400 from ebay .....
The problem is the unit took about 20-30 mins to boot and load configuration file, but the thing is the unit does not has any .....

Second problem is, from the configuration menu, the wifi strength status is always showing zero and cannot detect get ip from my dhcp wifi router.

The RF icon is not showing in the battery status display.

Any ideas to solve these problems will be helpfull

Check that you have the right Local Domain name and DNS filled out. Mine did not work properly until I got those items from my computer. I am using Fixed IP though. Have you checked your routers DCHP setting if you are using DCHP? Double check your WEP password if you are using WEP. If the WAP is B/G make sure the B transmission is on. Hope it helps.

The web browser on it is pretty old by now. It cannot do many things, but give it a try. There is an updated version of the browser out, but how would you update the IPronto with it?

Well so far .... i think it's quite alright for me, for normal surfing i guess.
By the way have you encounter the unit cannot learn certain ir code?

I'm having a Yamaha AV Amp and DVD set, and i only use the original Yamaha remote control to control everything. But i've tried capturing the play button from the remote i can't do it, it prompted me operation failed. The weird thing is i can capture the power on/off button from the remote. Any idea how to fix this problem ?
I'll try changing the batteries.

I have had some problems with some remotes, but got them all in eventually. Make sure the units are a couple of inches apart. Make sure there is not to much light around while trying to learn. The big one for me was how long to hold down the original remote button. Try holding down the Yamaha remote button down for various times from really quick to a second or two and see if one of them catches. If not, look through the website here for the IR hex codes and manually enter in the IR code to IPronto. Strong batteries in the Yamaha can't hurt.

Yup, i just encounter some problem with Yamaha remote, and gott most of the button captured. Can't complain, this panel with the latest version is awsome. i don't get any sticking button or hang yet, touch wood. The only problem i've got is the prontoedit, which always closes/hang when i use it too long. So saving your work, and downloading it to the panel keep my frustration away when the software hang. I hope philips can make use of the usb port as a second option to download the icf files instead of wifi link only.
By the way, can i use this panel for mp3 listening, from media centre or etc? This panel is great, just hope that philips put a little bit more effort in developing the software, so that the usb port, the mmc card and the mic can be used instead of available but not working :)
