I just got an iPronto. Trying to use some png bitmaps that I developed for the TSU7000, but the transparency feature does not seem to work in the iPronto editor. All my backgrounds show up as white. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong?

Ignore the previous post. I figured out how to make transparent backgrounds that iPronto will recognize. However, some of the graphics that I placed transparent backgrounds on now show fuzzy edges in the iPronto editor. The same graphics .png files show perfectly (not fuzzy) in the Pronto NG editor. Does anyone have a clue what might be going on?

Forget the second post too. Works fine in Photoshop. It's only PSP that creates the fuzzy edges.

In Photoshop click File > New > Blank File. In the "New" window, size it to your requirements, set color to RGB and background to transparent and give it a name if you wish. Open the file containing the button graphic you want to use. Using the Magic Wand tool, select the part of the graphic you want to use, size it, then Copy and Paste the selection onto the the new item, choosing Paste as New Layer. Save your image in .png format.

Just want to add my 2 cents word :) For guys who do not want to buy photoshop, you can download an open source software call GIMP, it's free and similar to photoshop. All you need to do is add transparency layer, select magic wand and cut off the unwanted area, save as png.

A word about Paint Shop Pro. If you want to maintain transparency, you have to "Export" to the "PNG Optimizer" Just saving an image as a PNG file will not maintain a transparent background.
