I have had an iPronto on loan for a week, and I have found that it works OK for a while, but if I turn it off or leave it for an hour or so, I have to press the reset button otherwise it will not start up at all.

Is this a common fault, and if so can it be sorted out. Apart from this major problem, I think that it's a great remote, and cannot think of any other product to buy in it's place. If anyone knows of one, please let me know.

Sounds like you need to update the firmware on it. This was a common problem before the last update. Now it has no longer a problem.

I did update the firmware to the latest version, but it has made no difference. Also, if I leave it fully charged overnight, the battery is completely flat the next day.

That's very unusual. I suggest use the remote control until the battery is completely low, so the device turns off itself.

Then charge it again. Until power is plugged the iPronto does a cold start.

Well, like NIK AGAR said: The freezing problem should be gone ... I never had it again since 1.9 firmware ....

Best regards,

Kalle
