my ipronto is always connected with the power supply and always on.
I want to show the actual weather facts through my personal weathersite which will be refreshes every 15min. This works for a certain time, also the site will be refreshed automically with a couple of minutes of delay. After a certain time I just see the "blue screen" ipronto is unable to connect......... Most times a click on the refresh button works, that means the network still works? Why I get this bluescreen?
Another thing is that the unit loose the connection, more rarely but it does. Than it need a reboot........ I changed the configuration to fixed ip and the ap to 8011.b only, it seams that worked better (I have to test for a longer time). But the first described problem is still existend.
I used the newest firmware 1.9.5.
Any suggestions ?
regards helmut

What is the exact error message? Is it "iPronto is unable to connect..." or does it say "iPronto was unable to load the requested page! Please check that the URL you typed is correct and iPronto is connected to the internet."?
You can check by typing file:/pronto/data/inet/loaderror.html as browser URL line. There is another error display at file:/pronto/data/inet/lowmemory.htm

What is the "General" setting for "LCD power off when AC plugged in (min)"? Is it set to "On" (always on)?

Try to ping the iPronto from another PC to see if the network is still up, take a look the "Status" page or check the diagnostics page of your WLAN router to check if the iPronto is still connected.

Can you still load other pages?

hi satscan,
thank you for your answer and your important hints. Best hint for me is where I cant fint a log file in case of an error..... real great!!!
Yes the "General" setting for "LCD power off when AC plugged in (min)"? Is set to "On" (always on).
My first setting of the WLAN router was DHCP and 802.11g/802.11b mode.
With this settings the ipronto has often lost the connection to the internet (during the night or after a couple of hours) .Only a reboot solves this problem.
I changed this settings now to fixed IP adress and 802.11b mode only. With this settings it worked now for a couple of days!!!
Hopefully it run now for the next months, years.....
thank you again............
