That will work for me as I have all my devices setup like this as I suffle componets around the house as I upgrade and reprogramming the screens is a pain. But for most people its a bind.

How about a proper fix...something like hold channel + and Vol + at the same time for 3 secs for Learn On and then Channel - and Vol - at the same time for 3 sec for Learn off?

...or hold scroll wheel to open options page and then have a Learn on/off toggle button on the about screen......
