Philips is proud to announce the launch of a renewed Pronto website: www.pronto.philips.com!

Keeping in line with the Philips brand positioning of Sense
& Simplicity, the Pronto team has been working on a renewal of the Pronto
website.

More content available!

Next to the 3 main pillars of the site - Products,
Downloads and Support – additional topics have been given their own spot, i.e.
Training, Events, and Press. Furthermore, a dedicated Pronto Dealer Locator was
again added to the site.

Easier to navigate through the content!

Information that is relevant to one particular topic
is clustered in one page. For example, to find specific details on one of our
products, you now only need to select the product you are interested in. This
will give you an instant overview of the information, as well as the downloads
& documentation related to that product. All in one page!

We would like to also take
this opportunity to ask you to verify your profile details.

If you do not want to receive further emails from us,
please click the box at the end of the My Profile page.

If you would like to Unsubscribe from our database
altogether, please click the link below. Keep in mind, this will also delete your ID and password information, which gives you access to our downloads area

If you would like to receive specific information on
your Pronto product, please complete the "My Products" page [Link: pronto.philips.com]

We hope you enjoy our
renewed site! Feel free to browse around, and send us your comments via the
form on the Support/Contacts page.

Are you kidding ?
Who cares about a renewed site ?

I you have time to do this, you should better fix your latest firmware ASAP.
It's really outrageous that you have the guts to annouce this here.
And again, if you have time to post it, you could at least give a decent answer for all the posts about the non working EPG update and learn functions as "a patch in the near future" isn't going to do it. In my experience "near future" means months, years or even never if we consider some announced features.

A very P*** O*** customer.

I agree - a minor face lift is something anyone with Web experience can do.

To fix problems by actually assigning labor hours to staff with weekly management review etc. etc. and thereby gaining consumer confidence in Philips integrity takes more guts.

Has anyone there gone through the "How to acquire a repeat customer 101" class? Even 8 hours a week would likely garner more patches and upgrades than what iPronto consumers are getting now. That is honestly pitiful!

Silence the critics! Make peace with the angry mob and turn them in to voices of brand loyalty! ADDRESS THE PROBLEMS WITH THE iPRONTO AND FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THE PROMISES MADE WHEN INITALLY SELLING THE PRODUCT!
Thanks,
Phil-bert

In fairness to Philips, it's not like the iPronto software developers write the Website. So updating it hardly affects the release of new Firmware.

Come on guys. Let's get off their backs a bit here. They keep this place informed. Keep giving them abuse, and they're likely to stop doing that. I'm all for justified complaining, but some of the stuff on here is amounting to abuse.

EPG is working again - I checked it :-)

I updated to V 1.9.5 - after reboot the iPronto starts loading and loops during startup phase.

I pressed reset and then the device came up without problems.

About the website: It was time. They did nothing for about 2 years about this webpages - that's a bad joke.

However, I fully agree that the iPronto deveolper (I still mean, there is only ONE guy :-) will continue to extent the software functionality of our well paid iPronto device!

And if the ProntoTeam guy will read this, then here is another idea from me:

If you don't like to put the source codes as open source in the web then how about to develop a small interface to put own applications on the iPronto? Just tell us how to build a Java application to put it into a container, how to bring it to the iPronto and save it there and finally, how to start it?

You would made all of us very happy!!!!!!

Best regards,

Kalle

I couldn't agree more with goshdarnit. Blaming slow iPronto upgrades and fixes on the recent website update is counter productive and pretty irrelevant. There's no question that this product (that comes from the same company that made the much-loved pronto line) was released prematurely and has been far from bug free. And there's also no question that philips should honor the people that collectively have spent thousands and thousands of dollars (and personal man hours programming and fiddling with it) by sticking with it and ultimately making it right by fullfilling the promise that this unit showed upon it's release. But calling the iPronto team (however small it may be) the equivilant of criminal idiots is ridiculous. Stick to the facts. The person or persons responsible for creating programming upgrades and "problem fixes" are not responsible for the size of their team or the hours that can be devoted to the project. I'm not interested in a lawsuit, or my money back, ...nor posting hate filled statements. I am interested in every damn improvement that we can get from philips in the shortest time possible. At the end of the day, however "over-sold" it was upon it's release, I still like mine a lot.
