Have you tried reseating the battery? If your pronto is reasonably old you might need to purchase a new battery.

Hi sp66K
Mine is two days old and won't charge either. The first out of the box charge went fine. The second charge resulted in no charge and a cold charger.
Tested the output of the charger and it was fine.
I'm getting a replacement unit sent today.
Also the unit will not retain the time zone setting. After selecting the correct time zone and seeing it stored, I go back and confirm that it is there, which it is.
Next day it is blank in the time zone field.
The screen also has flashes of white noise from time to time along with a little screen flicker. Maybe refresh rate, but I don't think so.
I am too new to the unit to know all the answers.

Mine is about a year old now, and it also has the screen flicker thing. It's never got any worse, and isn't excessive, so I think it's quite normal.
