I received a new cable channel line-up from Comcast.
Went to program the new line-up into iProntoEdit for
upload to the iPronto unit. Opened my last saved ICF
in IprontoEdit, filename: 041219.icf, size 2921KB

Appeared to load correctly however, iProntoEdit
showed NONE of my settings! Only things showing in
the left column were:

iPronto
iPronto Properties
Home
Home Properties
Home Page

Where did all my setting go????

Suspecting a bad 041219.icf file, I loaded four separate
backup files - same results. I then downloaded directly
from the iPronto unit, download appeared to go fine but,
SAME RESULTS!

Reloaded the iPronto software
Same results

Reload of firmware reported all pages up to date.

iProntoEdit software version = 2.5.2, Nov 8, 2004
iPronto firmware = 1.8.2

Obviously all these files and the software worked previously
and the iPronto is operating.
Any clues would be most welcome

Thanks, Chris

Ok ... solved!
Evidently the reinstall was not happy!

I reinstalled OVER top (repair) of the existing
installation - no good.
The key was to UNINSTALL iProntoEdit completely,
restart the computer and do a fresh install of the
iProntoEdit software.
All is well, at least as well as can be expected :-)

Sorry I jumped to the forum so quickly for help, but maybe this
experience will help another ... Chris
