A docking station is possible. Replace the battery cover with one with contacts and a base unit. It might have to be a little thicker but I think it is possible but not holding my breath. That plug in cord design is really bad.

Much as I would love such an option to be available I have a feeling that even if it's possible it might not actually be feasible.
