Hello,
New to this, bought an iPronto just to use as a remote no need for internet. Like a fool I thought that I could avoid the network and program by the USB (What a fool).
I have some questions now that I have to WiFi the thing.
Can I just setup the wireless part so I can transfer my CCF files or does it need the Internet also.
What WAP should I use , I have a Wireless PCI card in my Desktop and a Wireless in my notebook , which work fine. The iPronto wont see this network thou , am I right in saying that this is peer to peer adhock and the IPronto cant do this. The PCI is wireless G but says it is backward compatible with (b).
Help , all I want to do is program it and nothing else. All of the WAPs I have seen need ethernet connection to the PC. Which I dont have on either is there a USB or PCMCIA WAP or am I being very silly.
Hope someone can help me , All my other Prontos have been easy this is a bit more involved than I wanted.
Cheers
Colin

Hi Colin, I think you need an access point first off and set the ipronto to fixed IP. I dont think it will work in adhoc mode...
I have a netgear AP which worked fine when my ipronto worked... BUT see threads from me further down...
I am using my WAP on its own (not connected to a PC via an ethernet port) with each PC having a wireless network card, I now have a mix of Belkin and Netgear cards on my network.
Does that help any ?
