Hi everyone,
Some questions I'm stuck on.
1. Does anyone know how I can add custom ir's to a library? For example I have a remote for a device, and I want to add all the hard work of reading the ir commands to the library. I've only been able to just program the button and then copy and paste the hex values into notepad to try and use them elsewhere.
2. Since copy and pasting hex for custom commands is all I know that is what I tried to use for macros, like all on and all off. But even with a 1 sec delay between commands it just isn't working, I get some wierd results like one device works but others don't even though I know these values work from other pages. If anyone has gotten macros to work I'd appreciate any help.
3. I've looked but can't find what the Philips universal codes could possibly go to. Is there a database which tell which models go with what. I mean I go to RCA Satellite receiver and have like 20 choices. I don't have time to guess for all of those, especially since it takes 5 minutes each time I upload the silly config file. And why didn't they use real universal codes instead of the stupid phillips ones?
Yes I have latest firmware installed and latest iPronto edit. I've been playing with 3 iProntos for two weeks now and am just not that impressed. I've had windows 98 machines more stable and functional.
thnx for any help

Welcome to the iPronto. Stability is'nt it's strong point so it's not you.
The Phillips code database is junk, I think it was included just so they could show that one day it may work right. I find it totally useless. Copy and pasting codes seems to be the norm. I have some pretty good macros using discrete codes and I have'nt had any problems.(Alt least with macro execution). I think everyones waiting for a fully functional and STABLE release of pronto firmware.
Maybee one day....
