I have just setup my ipronto and it downloded the update and I am now running release 1.5 version 1.5.6 - this was the first time I booted btw. It found the update site and downloaded all the required updates. so far so good. But now it will not load a web page - which seems kinda strange since it has obviously connected to a host over the net. I have the standard internet connection everything is update automatically no fixed ip - no proxy servers - i even made sure it was connecting to the net by forcing it to check the software version and it found the site again and notified me that the software was upto date. I look at the data from the DHCP and it looks just like all the data shown on my wireless lan cards for my other pc's. DNS entry matches - gateway matches the assigned IP adress is in the range of assigned address from the access point and does not conflict with any other address for the other devices. I have of course done every reboot /reset hold down the scroll button and it still will just not load an internet page but will update and check the software. ANY IDEAS. suggestion appreciated :-) - im not ready to go the coaster route just yet ;-)

EDIT:
I am running with one of the first orinoco/avaya 802.11b products that came out - the RG-1000, anyone running the same system could you please tell me your wireless and networks options that you have configured in your device. ie DHCP ,proxy, ports numbers, 64 bit 128 bit yadda yadda yadda. Thx

I have had the same problem. Updating was possible but the browser didn't load a web page. I noticed that there was an error in my proxy settings! The browser only loaded 'white' pages. This was solved after entering the correct proxy settings.

When you've entered no proxy (while required) you end up with a blue browser screen "iPronto was unable to load the requested page!". Hope this will help you out.
