Wow. Really cool new home page for the iPronto. Daniel was right. Neat stuff:)

Firmware now at 1.56. Has support for transparent backgrounds for buttons, anti-aliasing and new iPronto Edit 2.2.

There are some other updates including the usual "General improvements on all applications regarding stability and performance." ;)

And they supposedly fixed the button copy linking ir codes back to the original. I'll have to play around with the new software to see if this is true.

Philips has updated their website, but the main page makes it appear that they haven't. This should get you to the change log for the new firmware... [Link: pronto.philips.com]

Cool stuff. Be carefull though, it does wipe your current icf off your iPronto.

Just did the upgrade, then dowloaded my ccf from my pronto TSU-1000 then the ipronto told me that the ccf was too complex and suggested I reduce the number of components I was controlling. What is that about.

I don't think this new Home page is such a great idea. How are you expected to add or customize activities?? The transparent buttons are fixed bitmaps, you can't change the text, what happens if you want to "Watch Tivo"? The background itself is completely uneditable... you can't even find it to edit yourself. What happens if a customer doesn't have home control? It is bad enough that the gallery doesn't contain the system standard bitmap buttons.... which is how come we all had the problems copying them and them retaining their parent/ child relationship preventing successful programming..... Now, a new home page without the components/ capability to edit it? These Belgian boys make a nice product and then screw it up with the finer points not working..... I have three units that I have been trying to deliver to clients and can't.... I hope the core of this new software works even though their lack of ATD in the user side doesn't.

They state that in this upgrade there is support for European EPG yet there is nothing on the EPG or the Web site that lets you select Europe as a source.

Cool home page and I can see the problems with the buttons but like all the Philips pages this is just to give you an idea of what you can do yourself.
