Dear all – since a couple of weeks I’m trying to find out, if the Remote Unfolded Circle 3 would be capable learning IR codes from Revox devices (late 90ies) like Amplifier B250, CD Player B226, Tape Recorder B215. → background is I would like to move from Logitech Harmony Elite to the new unfolded remote (and under Logitech, these IRs are working).
I was looking up and down several sites, forums etc. (including here) but somehow did not find out if actually this would work. I found the codes under remote central (Remote control is B208), and even do own the original remote as well.
Meanwhile I can confirm UC Remote 3 is not capable learning codes from B208. After trying another setup using Homeassistant and Broadlink RM4 Pro, I can confirm IR codes from the Remote Revox B208 (supporting devices B250, B215, B226, B200) are not compatible with the RM4 either. Neither learning codes nor using pronto codes are working ☹
But another idea I came across was the use of Global Caché iTach IP2IR…..but maybe someone has tried hat out (before I spent another €200.—or so) and could share some experiences?
- Can anyone confirm from their own experience that the iTach IP2IR (emitter/blaster) reliably transmits the Revox B208 codes to the B250/B215/B226/B200?
- Was the programming done directly from the B208 using iLearn, or was PRONTO (RemoteCentral) used?
- Did you need to adjust the repeat/offset settings?
- What risks or errors were encountered (e.g. unmodulated/timing)?
Who knows, maybe one day I can actually send Logitech Harmony Hub in retirement 😊
