I recently got a new Sony STR-AN1000 receiver to replace my old Yamaha. I confirmed that the receiver was in the Harmony database.  So I updated the activities with the new receiver (I had to use the 2nd blaster) and everything works....mostly.

Usually, about 75% of the time, when switching from Cable to Roku the receiver shuts off. Then I think it turns back on when it sees a signal from the Roku.  Maybe 25% of the time it shuts off when going from Roku to Cable.

I confirmed that this is strictly a Harmony issue, because it works flawlessly with the Sony remote.

I am pretty sure that I found the problem. When switching inputs, Harmony sends an "on" command to the receiver. Because it's a toggle (not discrete) the receiver turns off.

So, where can I find discrete Sony power commands? I still have my Pronto 5000 for emergencies. I can convert the codes with prontohex, put them in the Pronto, then manually program them into the Harmony.

Sound correct?

Maybe Harmony’s device setup includes discrete Power On and Power Off options that you can apply directly to your activities, making input switching more reliable. Try searching the Harmony database for discrete power codes specific to Sony receivers.
