I am looking to buy a remote for my home entertainment system. I will be controling a plasma tv (LG), cable box(Scientif Atlanta), DVD player(Pioneer), Surround Sound Receiver (Pioneer), CD plater (Pioneer), IPOD Station, and hopefully a fire place.
I will be controlling all of these thru a IR eye cause all my equipment is in a AV closet expect of course for the TV.
I was looking at a Harmony remote but not sure which one is best can anyone give me some advice?
Thanks

I like the 670 if you don't need the sexy color screen and rechargeable batteries. The 880 and 720 are also good. The only real differences are the LCD screen (size and color vs. black/white), the batteries (regular vs. rechargeable) and the hard buttons. I think Circuit City has them on display where you can touch them so you might want to check them out that way.

Take a look at the button layout. The 670 Layout is very nice for playback use (DVR/PVR/DVD ). In fact I purchased a 880 to replace a 520 unit and had the wife screaming about the button placement based on her use of the device, for mainly playback of recorded shows on the DVR. Hence I also picked up a 670 for her to use.
I did not even pay attention to the button layout before I replaced the 520.
The 670 also give you some features (that don't work right) for having a sort of sub activity within each activity for Picture and Sound control.
