I searched these forums and came up empty handed. My dad has a 670 and I've searched for this option in the software, but couldn't find it. My problem is I'd like to get a harmony myself, but my receiver is a bit strange. To turn it on or to switch inputs, you hold down an input button for a couple seconds. What I would need to be able to do is tell the harmony in it's macros that a command should be sent for x amount of time. Is this possible?

Thanks,
Ryan

This duration option is sometime available in the power settings for some devices. However, I have not seen it in the input settings. I think Support can add it when needed. What is your device type (A/V receiver?), brand and model number?

I checked the IR dataset for your Phillips FR-965 A/V receiver. It has many discrete input commands and its defaults input setting is configured to use the discrete method #2. However, it does not have any power commands except for the one called "Standby". You should try it in device mode. I would configure its power settings to use the discrete method (A button on the remote for On, and a different button for Off) and use one of the discrete input commands for the power on function, and the "Standby" command for the power off function. The power settings has the "My device needs more than one command to turn it on and off" option. I don't know if sending the same Input command more than once will do the trick. You may have to teach it a PowerOn command in RAW mode by holding one of your input button for a few seconds. Or, ask Support to add the "duration" option next to the Power commands in the adjust power settings like they did for the Phillips FR-968. Or, enter your device as the Phillips FR-968. Good Luck.
