I was browsing around the setup of the devices with the Harmony 1000 and noticed these two ways of learning a IR command.

Learn mode matches the learned IR to an existing code in the database, whereas learn raw captures the exact signal received.
I expect the former case is best practice as this code would have been published by the manufacturer. Also, I imagine is uses less capacity on your remote's internal memory.
So, use 'Learn Raw' if nothing else works.
